The South American Plate is a tectonic plate that bordered every tectonic plate but the Eurasian Plate and the Indoaustralian Plate. It has been touching the North American Plate since Pangaea and has not detached from it since. It has not changed form that much, and it has not sunken that much. It has tilted to the left a bit and continued to drift along with the North American tectonic plate.
