The North American Plate was a tectonic plate was a tectonic plate that obviously changed its form since the realm of Pangaea. It did not sink as to the Indoaustralian plate did. It did drift more than most tectonic plates did. The North American Plate was bordering all of the major plates besides one, which is the Indoaustralian Plate. It has and still is connected to the South American Plate.
